Testing Electrical systems
(In accordance with SEC, IEC, and IEEE Standards)
At SAHL HORAN General Contracting, we deliver high-precision testing and commissioning services for electrical systems across industrial, commercial, and utility-scale projects. All testing activities are carried out in full compliance with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) specifications as well as IEC and IEEE international standards.
Our scope includes but is not limited to:
- Ring Main Units (RMUs): Insulation resistance, contact resistance, mechanical operation, interlock verification, and functional tests.
- Transformers (Distribution & Power): Insulation resistance, winding resistance, vector group verification, turns ratio (TTR), oil dielectric strength (BDV), and functional protection checks.
- Power and Control Cables: Very Low Frequency (VLF) testing, insulation resistance (IR), continuity, sheath fault location, and Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) for fault analysis.
- Protection Relays (Electromechanical, Digital, and Numerical): Secondary injection testing, relay logic and function verification, setting coordination, and scheme testing in line with approved protection studies.
- Circuit Breakers (LV, MV, HV): Timing tests, contact resistance, insulation testing, mechanical trip verification, and dynamic contact performance analysis.
- Current Transformers (CTs) and Voltage Transformers (VTs): Ratio and polarity tests, burden and excitation testing, insulation resistance, and accuracy class verification.
All testing is conducted using calibrated equipment operated by qualified engineers and technicians. We provide complete method statements, risk assessments, and final test reports to support project commissioning, energization, and grid compliance.
Trusted contracting partner for electrical, lighting, and traffic solutions across commercial and infrastructure projects.
